Back in Germany

Post pictureHey everyone, the last weeks in oz went past so quickly that I hardly realized how little time was left in the end till I would get back home and now I’m here again since 3 days in good old germany.
Yesterday I went to Kiel for a kite, where Jonas, a young photographer and I took some pictures with the new equipment – check his page here!
Considering there wasn’t any good wind at all by the time we were there and the condition sucked arse, we still ended up taking a few nice shots. I have to say that I was pretty suprised by the new JN Board the ‘CHIT-CHAT’. I really like that one, it has massive pop and a sharp outline offers a very defined take-off & lets you tack very easily!
Next week is looking quite decent for a few sessions at my home spot St. Peter, so I’m looking forward to see my mates from here finally again after my long stay in Australia. Talk to you soon!

Cheers, Tobi

Post pictureOh man, last week happend a lot. I went to Rottnest island on monday, with Rosy, another JN teamrider, to visit her sister and her sister’s boyfriend.
We spent two sweet days at their place and cicled around a lot. We even managed to go out for a kite at a spot called Samon Bay at the south shore of the island, although the conditions were perfect for a juiced 7 meter session we were almost alone except from one other kiter. *sick*
Ham and I set up our kites and by the time we went out we spotted some swell further along the bay. So we decided to head down there for a little session in the waves. As we were riding down a huge fin crossed my way and scared the shit out of me but I quickly realized that it must have been a dolphin cos of its shape. Later on another dolphin swam straight into me just few inches under the water surface.

Unfortunately we had to quit the session when I lost my kite. It ended up in a limestone rock face, that teared apart my trailing edge. Luckily the kite has already been fixed again :)

Post pictureNew Photos! I recently came to do some shootings with another photographer I got to know here. Finally he sent me pictures that he took the other day. It was a pretty lit session on my 7 meter again.
Pictures by Dave Spruce and photos from Rottnest will soon be placed in the gallery, since I uploaded a lot this month, I intend to wait a little to not fully slow down the internet connection.
I let you guys know when it happens!

Cheers, Tobi
