KST Büsum
Hey folks, this weekend I went to the Kitesurf-trophy in Büsum. The spot was sick, a flat water lagoon with mostly waste deep water, suitable for most westerly wind direction, which is quite common in northern Germany.
Unluckily we started off the event in very low wind conditions even though there was heaps more wind predicted for the upcoming days, what caused a lot of dissatisfaction under the majority of riders.
I managed to advance into the quarter finals but had to end it there due to too little wind that not even made me stay upwind. Next day in the double elimination it was the same story again, couldn’t stay upwind and I hardly had enough power to do a backroll..
A shame that we didn’t put the event to Saturday and Sunday since there was plenty of wind. Instead the event organiser tried to kill the time with a kiteloop supersession.
Even if the event didn’t run as luckily for me as it could. I gave a great show smashing some s-mobes, frontmobes , KGB’s etc. while free riding on sat and Sunday. All super powered with my lines around 30 degrees and strapped in boots on a 7 meter kite =] All time!!
